Literature Text

There once was a man with no legs
Instead of legs he had pegs
He lost them one day on Easter
When he tripped over an egg and landed on his keister
He kept the egg as a momento
And one day a chick hatched and said, "Lo siento!"
All the man could do was grumble and glare
So the poor little chick quickly hid behind a passing hare
The rabbit was known as Peter Conttontail, for sure
He looked at the angry man and said, "For this I have a cure!"
Peter then summoned all of his animal friends in the land
And he graciously asked them to lend a hand
After much seeking, searching, and strife
The animals finally located the angry man's wife
She was a lovely lady, as beautiful as a dove
With gentle words, she calmed her husband and filled his heart with love
Peter Cottontail was proud and said, "Looks like I'm finished here!"
The couple happily took the chick into their home, with much cheer
Just a silly Easter poem I quickly wrote for *steffne's contest.. :meow:

Haha, that's brilliant! I can perfectly imagine this poem to have funny and colourful illustrations to go along with the story!
Oh my, especially the chick saying "Lo siento!"... that means "I'm sorry", right? :XD: How cheerful first words, but it made me laugh! :D
